Bike Coalition Executive Director Appointed to the City of San Diego's first ever Bicycle Advisory Committee
Today, San Diego City Council appointed Andy Hanshaw to the City's first-ever Bicycle Advisory Committee with a term ending July 1, 2016. Recommendations from Mayor Faulconer included Hanshaw, executive director of the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition and Point Loma resident, and Kyle Heiskala of Hillcrest. Read more...
Carlsbad Active Village Campaign Underway
The Bike Coalition, together with Circulate San Diego will
be partnering on a new Active Village Campaign for the City of Carlsbad over
the next year. The campaign will be designed to promote and encourage biking
and walking in the Carlsbad Village area. This is from a grant provided by
SANDAG's Active Transportation Program. Components of the project will include
events, educational outreach, community organizing and a branding awareness

Bike The Bay is a fun ride for people of all levels of riding ability, and features individuals, families, corporate teams and the serious and not so serious bike rider who experience a scenic bayside ride and also enjoy the only opportunity of the year to ride over the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge.
