AndyHanshawSDCBCAndy Hanshaw
Executive Director

Andy Hanshaw, MPA, has been Executive Director at the SDCBC since July of 2011. He is also the founder and organizer of the annual Bike The Bay community bike ride that takes place each August in San Diego. 

A career non-profit and development professional, he has lead efforts to help small businesses working with Business Improvement Districts in San Diego and Portland, Oregon and he also led fund raising efforts for the recently completed San Diego State University Alumni Center. 

Andy enjoys riding his bike whenever possible and considers himself a road rider, beach cruiser and a bicycle commuter.

Education Program Coordinator

Maria joined SDCBC in early 2010 as the Education Coordinator. She is a US Navy Veteran with a background in archaeology, nursing and social services. Prior to her time at SDCBC, Maria worked for the San Diego Food Bank, National Science Foundation and the Office of Historical Preservation.

If Maria isn't riding her bike, you'll most likely catch her riding a wave or her skateboard near the beach.

Mariel joined the SDCBC in September 2011 as the new Development Coordinator. She brings over 10 years of nonprofit experience. Mariel most recently worked at San Diego State University where she raised Major Gifts for the College of Professionals Studies & Fine Arts. Before joining the Coalition, she traveled solo for nearly three months in Southeast Asia. Mariel has been a volunteer Advisory Board member for the last three years with the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network San Diego and recently stepped into the board co-chair role. She rides a Specialized Epic series road bike. 





Corey Sinclair
Bicycle Parking Coordinator

Corey joined the SDCBC in April 2012 as the Bicycle Parking Coordinator.  A native of Washington State, he brought his love of biking to The University of Maine where he studied International Affairs with a Spanish Concentration and played on the University soccer team.  Corey's first job in the area was at the San Diego Zoo as a Summer intern in 2008.  Aside from working with the SDCBC, Corey is also a nationally registered EMT and manages a local wine bar.  He is a frequent bike commuter who also rides for pleasure.
