27 - Adopt A Path Cleanup! This event is our way of taking care of one of the more frequently used bike paths in San Diego.  Interested volunteers will be painting over graffiti and clipping back weeds that grow into the path.  We start at 9 a.m. and end at 11 or noon, depending on volunteer input that day.  To be effective, this won’t just be a one-time gig--we’ll begin with doing this weekly to discourage the appearance of more graffiti.  We meet at the corner of Hotel Circle North & Hotel Circle Place, just north of Presidio Park & the 8 Freeway.  Painting supplies and bottled water will be provided—just bring your hat, sunscreen, closed toed shoes, and long pants.  It’s a great way to make a great city even better and get more people on the path-- will you volunteer?

3 - Tour de Fat, the travelling bicycle carnival/celebration/ride put on by New Belgium Brewing (makers of Fat Tire Ale) is coming to San Diego on October 3rd, 2009 and New Belgium has asked the Coalition to be their benefit partner.
