All upcoming volunteer opportunities are listed on the calendar below. Volunteer Calendar
Volunteer Nights Typically held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, we invite everyone and anyone to come by the SDCBC office and assist us with the latest project. Tasks might include preparing materials for newsletter folding, stuffing envelopes for membership mailings and anything else needed at the time. This is a great way to connect with other local cycling enthusiasts.
Bike Valet Volunteers SDCBC provides high quality free bicycle valet parking at area events. Bike valet volunteers assist with set up and take down of valet equipment, check in and return bicycles, and provide information about bicycling. Everything you need to know you will learn on the job. Volunteering with SDCBC's bike valet program is a great way to connect with other area cyclists in addition to being a bunch of fun! For more information, email execdir@sdcbc.org.
Event Volunteers We couldn't run any of our events without the help of our amazing volunteers. Want to be a riding marshal for one of our bike rides? Or maybe you would rather help with tables at local events? This is a great way to volunteer once in a while or for your favorite event. See volunteer calendar for upcoming events or email education@sdcbc.org
Office Volunteers Got some free time during the day? Help us get some of the behind the scenes work done at our office. Our dedicated group of office volunteers assist us in various capacities including preparing membership packets, managing our database, assisting in our advocacy efforts and much more. We ask our office volunteers to commit to a regular schedule. Interested in being an office volunteer? Email education@sdcbc.org or development@sdcbc.org
Media Volunteers Help get the SDCBC message out. Volunteer as a writer, photographer or designer. Media volunteers contribute by writing editorials in local newspapers journals or magazines. You can also help by writing a story for our ChainGuard or help design some of our informational and educational materials. Of course, none of these would be possible without amazing photographs to help illustrate the issues. If you are interested in any of these opportunities email education@sdcbc.org or development@sdcbc.org.
